Nikki Lane’s – Flying Skull Patch

Chain Stitching Patch

Iron Thread recently completed a new patch project with Nashville Country singer Nikki Lane. When she is not in Bandit Town, USA (she just played the Grand Ole Opry last week in Nashville!) Nikki is covering the world hitting such places as Australia and Japan. We have done a few embroidery patch projects with Nikki creating a vintage style patch using her logo with chainstitch patterns on different shades of felt and twill. All patches are made in our Vermont studio – design, machined and hand cut – for our unique old feel. Be sure to check out all of Nikki Lane merchandise: Nikki Lane Merch

“NIKKI LANE: THE RISE OF A COUNTRY REBEL
Rolling Stone: Growing up in South Carolina, Nikki Lane loved her mom’s Motown records and her dad’s country cassettes, but she’d also sneak to see alt-rock and punk shows. All those influences come through on her new album, All or Nothin’, which was produced by the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach.”  Source: Rolling Stone

ALL OR NOTHIN’

For her hotly anticipated sophomore album Nashville songstress Nikki Lane teamed up with Dan Auerbachof the Black Keys for a record that turns the vulnerable singer-songwriter stereotype on its ears. With songsthat crucify ex-boyfriends, celebrate one-night stands (as long as she can bolt town right after) and proclaimit’s “always the right time to do the wrong thing,” Lane comes across like a modern-era Wanda Jackson, albeitwith more oats to sow. “My songs always paint a pretty clear picture of what’s been going on in my life, so thisis one moody record,” she says. “There’s lots of talk of misbehaving and moving on.”
