We spend a lot of time researching all varieties of early century stitching techniques. Chain Stitching, which was originally done by hand, is a series of loop stitched patterns which form a flow of lines giving many areas of depth in a design. Our primary influence is from early Japanese chain needlework in which we created our own unique style of patterns on modern day machines. Iron Thread is a design driven studio; always will be.
