“This is a true story that examines the great American love affair with motorcycles and an even greater American tradition: going coast to coast. The Lost Road follows four bikers riding their old choppers across the country along the Lincoln highway – the oldest coast to coast highway that remains mostly two lane blacktop. The only place they really plan on stopping is by a man named Tom Fugle. As they travel, the journey becomes less about getting to Tom’s and more about going back to where things started; about the proud people they encounter and the small towns they rest in. It is a film about the fearless few that have the guts to go without a plan – a reminder of what a real adventure feels like. What they encounter on the road is a story about many things: the great American road trip, what real freedom feels like, the state of the country, and an understanding of where chopper tradition originates.”
